Creature Comforts veterinary services – delivered with courtesy and respect!

As a new client of our Veterinary Clinic in Eaton Ohio, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly by one of our team members, and we’ll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet.

In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.

Dr. Hickey will then examine your pet and ask additional questions based on her exam findings. As Dr. Hickey goes through the exam she will explain what she is doing each step of the exam- what is normal as well as what is abnormal during the exam. After the examination is complete Dr. Hickey may recommend diagnostic testing. We are very proud of our in clinics diagnostic laboratory allowing us to run various blood tests, detailed urinalysis, digital radiographs and ultrasound. Once the tests have been run Dr. Hickey will go over the findings and together we will formulate a treatment plan for your pet.

We try and do as much of the testing as possible in the exam room so that you and your pet are kept together. However sometimes a pet does better out of sight of his/her owner in which case we will discuss with you taking your pet out of the room for additional diagnostic testing.

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.

Our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information, go over medications we are sending home for your pet, and answer any wellness and care questions you may have. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow-up appointments.

If you would like to pre-submit information before your arrival, please visit our Forms page.

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.

We are excited to meet you and your pets!
